Before you set-up your video ad campaigns you first have to link up your YouTube channel to your Google AdWords account. This will also enable to you to create call-to-action (CTA) overlays and view additional statistics within your Adwords account.
Call to action overlays enable you to share more information about the content of your video, raise interest in your channel, other videos, or additional websites.
Here are the steps to link your YouTube
Channel To Your AdWords Account:

*Log into your YouTube Channel
*Click on your profile image
*Click on Creator Studio
*Click Channel
*Make sure your account is verified and it is in good standing.
*Click Advanced
*Scroll down where it says “link an adwords for video account’
*Click “link an Adwords Account”
*Where it says “Sign in to adwords for video” you’ve got to get your customer id
*Copy your customer id then you paste it into the box provided.
*Click “next”
*It says “assign a name to the adwords account”
*Leave all the boxes checked because you want to see view counts and call to action, view remarketing and engagement
*Click “finish”
Now you can see that your Adwords account
is linked to your YouTube channel.
Here are 3 important things to keep in mind:
1. Linking your YouTube channel to an AdWords account allows you to promote your video and view additional statistics.
2. You can control the data that the AdWords account can access. This includes view counts, remarketing, and earned actions.
3. You can link more than one AdWords account
to your YouTube channel or vice versa.
